A Christ-centered, missional church …

Nov. 2

All Saints Sunday Service at 10 am
(Don't forget to "Fall Back" and enjoy an extra hour before joining us at FPCHS!)  We will celebrate Communion and Pastor Pat's sermon is entitled: "Learning Humility." The Chancel Choir has prepared a special offertory anthem, "When the Saints Go Marching In." This is an upbeat, exciting setting of that age-old favorite that will be sure to get your toes tapping! And don't miss a very special opportunity to hear some of our members speak about their reflections on life at FPCHS.

Nov. 9

A special service for all ages at 10am

The Kirk Ringers will present Joseph and the Coat, composed by Tammy Waldrop. Here’s what Tammy says about this special piece: “The story of Joseph and his family struggles bears a remarkable resemblance to our present day relational situations. We, like them, sometimes make unwise decisions that lead us to sinning against one another. These sins often bring heartbreaking results. However, there is good news!” Kathy Boeckman will serve as our narrator. Also during the 10am service: the Community Youth Choir will make their debut AND the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes prepared by the Kids Club will be blessed.

Immediately following the service

Join us as we celebrate the autumn bounty with our church family on Sunday, November 9, at the Harvest Potluck after worship. Beverages and table service provided, bring a dish to pass.

Habitat for Humanity

NW Michigan Habitat for Humanity needs you!  Volunteer opportunities exist to help this local missional organization build homes for families in need in our own community. No matter whether you are skilled or unskilled, volunteers are always needed for scheduled weekdays/nites, or half/whole Saturday Workbees at multiple Alanson, Pellston or Petoskey building sites throughout the year.  Other year round volunteer opportunities exist in the ReStore or serving on planning committees and affiliate governance. Come alone, come as a congregation, come with a family member, business associate or friend, and help us build homes! For current Workbee schedules, visit Habitat’s website at http://www.northwestmihabitat.org, Volunteer Tab. The need is now!  Thank you for your help!

Prayers Needed?
Do you know someone who you would like to be added to our prayer list or who needs a visitation? Please let them know first, and then call the office (526-7332). We will ask for the correct name spelling and any other information that they would like to be shared with our Deacons. Stephen Ministers are also available to support these needs.
